Who is Chris?
Chris Rodriguez is a 15-year marketing veteran with a passion for driving growth and tangible results for brands and entrepreneurs. He has worked with over 30 startups across all tiers of funding (Seed to Series E), generating brand awareness, website traffic, signups, downloads, and most importantly customers and revenue.
Chris’ data-driven approach to marketing is industry-agnostic and heavily influenced by his training – “lean startup” (test, then build) and “growth hacking” (user acquisition + retention, conversion optimization, repeatability). With this approach, he has taught students, developed courses, and mentored startup founders at companies like Techstars, General Assembly, Springboard, and Platzi.
Chris has a unique career path for a marketer, with nearly a decade spent in the entertainment and legal industries prior to a 2011 pivot to tech startups. Since that career pivot, he has helped grow 2 startups to acquisition (Speek, numberFire) and 1 startup to the INC 500 list (Contactually). Chris has been recognized by GrowthHackerTV as one of the top 200 experts on startup growth.
